Thomas The Tank Engine Returns to Lionel O Gauge!

(Chesterfield, Mich.,) – This year Thomas and Friends are back in the fall with four new video/DVD releases and so is Lionel with an O gauge Thomas the Tank Engine train set.

Available for the first time; and featuring the new Lionel CW-80 (80-watt) Transformer and revolutionary FasTrack snap-together train track system, Thomas the Tank Engine and his faithful coaches, Annie and Clarabel, and Sir Topham Hat are ready for some O gauge railway adventures.

"We’ve added great play value to this new train set," said Lionel Product Manager Eric Shreffler. "Depending on Thomas’ mood children can switch between three removable Thomas faces and watch his eyes move from side-to-side as he travels around the 40"x 60" FasTrack oval, which can settle evenly on most home surfaces, including the living room carpet."

The set also includes removable roofs on Thomas, Annie and Clarabel along with three play figures (Sir Topham Hat and two Railway Workers) so "little engineers" can load and unload their passengers, and pose them for action adventures.

"This is only the beginning for our Thomas the Tank product line" said Shreffler. "Stay tuned for a big announcement from Thomas and Friends some time this spring."

Consumers can find the new ready to run sets at their local Lionel Authorized Value Added Dealer, and you can find them on display during the 101st Annual International New York Toy Fair at booth #5605 located at Manhattan’s Javits Center.
