This easy-to-install, no soldering required upgrade kit will allow all Command Ready locomotives to operate in full Command control. It provides all features in the TrainMaster Command system, including the option of operating your engines in Command or traditional mode. Features and sounds available for a specific locomotive are dependent on the features and sound system the locomotive is equipped with, and the components of the Lionel TrainMaster system that are in use. This upgrade kit is designed for use only on locomotives that are designated "Command Ready" in catalogs since 1998; other locomotives, including those previously designated "Digital Ready", will require additional electronic modifications.

Simply remove the SignalSounds electronic board and sound chip, then install the RailSounds electronic board and sound chip to get all the expanded features of Lionel's RailSounds system! Installation of the RailSounds upgrade kits is independent of the installation of Lionel TrainMaster Command; however, as with all RailSounds systems, not all of the RailSounds features are available without Lionel TrainMaster Command.
