TMCC Rio Grande Snowplow #53
Your favorite motorized units from Lionel’s beloved Postwar Era are revived in this great selection. The #2352 Pennsylvania EP-5, first introduced in 1958 and modeled after General Electric’s rectifier, was perhaps the most interesting looking of all the Lionel electrics. The #53 Rio Grande Snowplow, offered in 1957, was the first of Lionel’s small diesel switchers to have a separate snowplow added to the front. We’ve replicated the scarce “Correct A” version. First made in 1962, the #65 Handcar was a fun representation of railroad workers pumping their way down the tracks on an antiquated maintenance car.
Each offering includes a special Postwar Celebration plaque, is updated with today’s technology, and is shipped in special Postwar Celebration packaging. If you missed them the first time, you won’t want to pass up this opportunity. You never know when, or if, you will see them again!
