Pennsylvania LionMaster TMCC 4-4-4-4 T-1 Duplex #5514
As the next offering in our celebrated line of LionMaster O-31 locomotives, we are proud to present the Pennsylvania T-1! The original two prototypes of the T-1 were built during World War Two and passed vigorous inspections and performance tests with flying colors, prompting the Pennsylvania Railroad to order an additional fifty locomotives. However, once in road service the locomotives were plagued by operational and maintenance problems. Despite their short careers, the Pennsylvania T-1's futuristic form remains a favorite among railfans and model railroaders alike. The two prototypes were actually nicknamed "Buck Rogers" and "Flash Gordon" by the Pennsy men. It is hard to ignore the pure beauty of this locomotive, designed by the father of the GG-1 electric, Raymond Loewy. Only Lionel know-how could bring this shark-nosed giant into the realm of smaller layouts with a sense of proportion that truly honors the style of the prototype. The new Lionel LionMaster Pennsylvania T-1 Duplex lives up to its predecessors, the already legendary LionMaster Challengers. This latest LionMaster locomotive comes equipped with the most popular features such as TrainMaster Command Control and the Odyssey System for speed control.
