Beyond the farms to the west, in the foothills of the Gilbert Mountains, lies a small cottage village where Lionelville’s residents come to get away from it all. Waking up on a cold winter morning, they can open the cottage door to view their pristine village laid out before them, shining like a diamond in the valley below, while children skate on the frozen Joshua River, anticipating the arrival of good ol’ St. Nick. In warmer times, you will find these same families traveling south of the village to the Lionelville State Park to camp, fish or swim. Or maybe they are over taking in a day of fun and festivity at the Lionelville Amusement Park, and capping off the evening watching a new release at the popular Lionelville Drive-in.
