Add Route Controls

Routes cannot be created or edited within the LCS App. Use your Lionel CAB Remote for this purpose. However, once a Route is created, it can be fired using the LCS App.

You will need two or more working command controlled switches (or multiple remote-operating switches with an LCS ASC2 or Lionel SC-2) installed on your layout to successfully complete this operation. You’ll also need to have already defined and tested one or more numbered Routes using your Lionel CAB Remote. Refer to its owner’s guide if you need additional help.

Hint: Make sure you can fire your routes from your Lionel CAB remote before you try to fire them from LCS App.

  • From the Operating Screen, swipe left or right until the desired custom control panel is in view
  • Tap the EDIT button

To place and configure a Route icon

  • Open the Track Pieces dock and select a Route icon, scrolling to reveal it if necessary.
  • Drag it to the desired position on the custom control panel as shown below.
Route 1
  • Set the TMCC ID of the route icon to that of the corresponding Route you previously defined using your Lionel CAB Remote.
  • Tap the Configure/Gear icon to give the Route icon a descriptive name.
