Operating Accessories

This help screen describes the operation of command-controlled and conventional accessories.

Command Controlled Accessories

This section will teach you to use a command accessory icon that operates the matching accessory on your layout.

Requirements

You will need a supported command controlled accessory installed on your layout. You should have already configured the accessory icon by following these directions.

To Operate a Command Controlled Accessory icon

  • From the Operating Screen, swipe left or right until the desired custom control panel is in view.
  • Tap the accessory icon and that specific Accessory Control Panel will appear (see below).
  • When done, tap anywhere outside the Accessory Control Panel to close it.

The buttons on each Accessory Control Panel should be self-explanatory. Note that a “loudspeaker” icon lets you turn on or off sound effects that accompany accessory operation. These sounds will come out of your iPad speaker. For improved sound quality and added realism, you could purchase a Bluetooth wireless speaker and place it nearer to your accessory.

Operating Conventional Accessories

This help section will teach you to use an toggle switches and push-buttons to operate conventional accessory on your layout.

Requirements

You will need a control device such as an LCS ASC2 installed on your layout. This should be wired to control the power to your conventional accessories. You should have already configured the toggle or push-button icon by following these directions.

To Operate a Conventional Accessory using a Toggle Switch icon

  • From the Operating Screen, swipe left or right until the desired custom control panel is in view.
  • Tap the toggle switch icon once to turn on, tap again to turn off.

NOTE: When using a toggle to control older TMCC devices such as an ASC, it is possible for the position of the toggle to get out-of-sync with the physical accessory. Should this occur, press and hold a toggle switch while in the operating screen for at least 2 seconds. The switch will flip, but no command will be sent. The switch is now in sync with the physical accessory.

To Operate a Conventional Accessory using a Push-Button icon

  • From the Operating Screen, swipe left or right until the desired custom control panel is in view.
  • Touch the push-button icon to activate the corresponding accessory. When you remove your touch, power to the accessory will turn off.
