Milwaukee Road Scale EP-5 with TMCC & RailSounds #E20
The Perfect Train
Milwaukee Road was an innovator in electrification; their route through the Northwest was the longest continuous electrified rail line in the world. The electrified line was faster, cleaner, more efficient, and more reliable for freight and passengers in all season.
Trailing their competitors when they began streamlining their transcontinental Olympian passenger service in 1947, they innovated again. Milwaukee Road created their signature Skytop observation cars, called the perfect ending for a perfect train, in 1949 and the spectacular Super Domes in 1953 and re-branded their top-of-the-line service as Hiawatha.
Their passenger locomotive roster included two GE EPs originally built for export. Our detailed 18" Aluminum cars look just like the prototypes behind our scale EP-5 decorated in matching Olympian Hiawatha livery.
