Lionel Returned to the Amherst Railway Society Hobby Show for a Second Year!

For the second consecutive year, the Lionel team attended the Amherst Railway Society Hobby Show at the Easter States Exposition Fairgrounds in West Springfield Massachusetts – where thousands of hobbyist and public fans attend each year. In 2016 (January 30-31), the show capped out at just fewer than 20,000 – a great turnout and a very successful show for everyone that participated.
Located in a 20' x 30' booth layout in the Mallary building, Lionel showcased a number of products for the kids on cardboard play stations that gave every child the opportunity to be an engineer for the day. Popular favorites among kids included The Polar Express™ LionChief Ready-to-Run set and Thomas and Friends “Thomas” LionChief Ready-to-Run set.
For the more enthusiastic hobbyist, slatwalls were covered top-to-bottom with the brand-new American Flyer FlyerChief™ Berkshires, docksiders and ES44AC. The three-rail fans had the opportunity to check out a wall dedicated to LionChief™ Plus engines which included the FT sets Camelback’s along with information regarding the upcoming release of the Universal Remote. The team also featured a high-end legacy wall that showcased the 21” passenger cars, N5 Caboose and much much MORE!
We will return to West Springfield in 2017 and are looking forward to it already. See you there!
