Known as “The World’s Greatest Train Meet,” the Lionel team
enjoys participating in the show every April and October. While we don’t choose
favorites we know one thing for sure, there is nothing better than October York
– with the cold crisp air, leaves changing colors and the holidays right around
the corner!
Sponsored by the Eastern Division TCA the Fall York Meet
took place October 22-24, 2015. With the anticipation of releasing our newest
Vision Line item the Lionel Team hosted a public event at the Pennsylvania
Railroad Museum on October 21 where the GG1 was unveiled. The team also
participated in the annual TCA Museum presentation.
Filling our 20’ X 60’ booth in the Orange Hall with new product
has never been an issue, but this year we were excited to have more samples
then ever! Featuring new items like the SD40, 21” passenger cars and the FT
LionChief™ Plus samples the Lionel booth was a popular place to be. Also on display, was a sample of the new GG1
Vision Line engine and seminars throughout the day.
Did you miss out in October? No worries – the Lionel team
will be back in April 2016 with more fun for train enthusiast of all ages.
