Lionel ALCo PA A-A sets come fully equipped with the Magne-Traction track gripping system and an Odyssey System ON/OFF switch. Riding on authentically detailed A1A trucks, the Lionel PA A-A locomotive sets accurately replicate the American Locomotive Company's first and most famous attempt at passenger diesel power. Each scale-sized model features many separately applied details including see-through screens, dynamic brake openings, and pivoting diaphragms on the rear doors.
The Lionel New Haven PA locomotives represent the only two units ever dressed in the pure black-white-vermilion "McGinnis" livery. On the Rio Grande, ALCo PA diesels pulled the famed streamliner, the WP-CBQ-DRGW California Zephyr. See Lionel Classic Trains Vol. 1 2003 for a detailed aluminum California Zephyr consist.
