Lionel Lines I-12 Caboose The all-new Lionel I-12 caboose is based on the distinctive wagon-tops produced by the Baltimore & Ohio Railroad. In 1941, B&O shops built 100 I-12s, and added twenty-five more to their line by 1945. Serving for four decades, they bridged the steam and diesel eras. In Chessie System paint, they ran into the 1980s. The all-new Lionel I-12 cabooses are available in both an early Baltimore & Ohio and a later Chessie System version, which includes many later modifications such as a metal catwalk, window screens and end reflectors. Theres even one in our very own Lionel Lines livery.
