Napa Valley Wine Train (TMCC Alco FPA PWR A #71, DMY A #72) Once an obscure branch line of the Southern Pacific, an 18 mile stretch of track now finds itself home to one of the most luxurious railroads in the world. The Napa Valley Wine Train travels through the heart of California wine country between Napa and St. Helena. Along with fine gourmet dining and wine tasting, passengers are treated to a taste of the golden age of railroad travel. The train includes beautifully refurbished Pullman cars, some originally built in 1915. Vintage ALCo FPA-4 diesels lead the burgundy and grape leaf green consist. Since its first run in September of 1989, the Napa Valley Wine Train has carried over one million passengers. Along with a string of heavyweight passenger cars, two Lionel FPA locomotives pull this new, striking O gauge train set.
