Pennsylvania VISION GG1 #4866 Nothing surpassed the service of Pennsylvania's Congressional and Senator trains for business travel between New York and Washington. In 1952, these trains were upgraded with brand-new stainless-steel equipment, offering spacious coach and lounge seating along with full dining car service. The two trains were quite similar, with the Congressional featuring a slightly heavier consist, including a twin-unit diner and an extra coach/drawing room car. Leading these trains was the iconic GG1 locomotive, painted in Tuscan red to complement the gleaming steel of the cars. These trains remained popular into the Penn Central era, with much of the equipment eventually wearing Amtrak colors. Separate 4-packs and StationSounds diners are available for both the Congressional and Senator in classic PRR livery. The 4-packs include a lounge, two coaches, and a lounge observation car.
