Santa Fe TMCC Scale 4-8-4 Northern #3751
This all-new Lionel locomotive marks the first O gauge model of this steam survivor, Santa Fe #3751. First built in 1927, the 4-8-4 Northern type hauled the signature passenger trains of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. After a distinguished 26 years of service and later decades as a dormant park display, Santa Fe #3751 was brought back to life by the San Bernardino Railroad Historical Society. The big Northern has made regular excursion trips since 1991.
Including the RailSounds 5.0 sound system, this scale-sized locomotive provides the latest features and accurate detailing. From the turret valves to the fully round air cylinders under the running boards, most of the metal piping and appliances are separately applied, even the sand lines. This new locomotive even includes three different press-in smokestacks—a standard straight stack, an extended telescopic stack and an extended "smoke bonnet" stack.
All-new The Chief heavyweight passenger cars are also available.
