SOUTHERN PS-4 SCALE 4-6-2 PACIFIC #1403

In their striking green and gold livery, the Southern PS-4 remains one of the most beautiful steam locomotives to ever ride the rails. First delivered in the mid-1920s, the colorful Pacific-types were inspired by English steamers of the era. With their 73" drivers and 4-6-2 wheel configuration the PS-4's hauled the Southern's signature passenger varnish to speeds up to 80 miles per hour.
Available separately for the first time, this new scale-sized locomotive includes many distinguishing details and upgraded features. Complete with a brakeman's stand and Walschaerts valve gear, the Lionel model portrays the PS-4 as she would have looked in the late 1930s through 1940s. Now equipped with the RailSounds 5.0 sound system, the Lionel PS-4 also features a new DynaChuff synchronized chuffing effect with a rate of four chuffs per revolution.
