Southern Semi-Scale 2-8-2 Mikado #4815
The 2-8-2 Steam Locomotive first built by Baldwin for Nippon Railway of Japan earned the name Mikado, meaning Emperor of Japan.
Later the 2-8-2 Light Mikado was the first freight locomotive produced under the World War I-era United States Railroad Administration. More than 1200 were built by Alco, Baldwinand Lima during the USRA period and long after.
