Previously, Lionel has had a basic form of a locator that provided just the dealer’s address. Now, more details have been incorporated, allowing the consumer to easily locate a dealer nearby. The updated site gives not only the address, but also shows a map complete with highways, streets and other landmarks as well as written directions, making the connection between the consumer and Lionel dealer more accurate and efficient.

"We want to better serve our Lionel train enthusiasts and help bring business to our retailer network and we feel this improved hobby retailer locator program will accomplish this goal," Dick Maddox, President and COO, said.

The website page is up and running now. Go to Lionel.com and click on the dealer locator icon. Once there, type in a desired location, city, area code or zip code and a list of dealers fitting the inputted criteria will appear. From this point, maps and detailed directions can be accessed.

The Lionel value added dealer locator can output directions from the consumer’s home address right to the door of the nearest hobby dealer with street by street, turn by turn directions.
